Cashless payment services

When you make a credit transfer, you instruct your bank to debit an amount from your own account and arrange for it to be credited to the payee's account, which will often be at another bank. Nowadays, most credit transfers are paperless.

For cross-border payments a so-called "EU-Standardüberweisung" may be made using a special form provided by the bank. The "EU-Standardüberweisung" is subject to the following conditions:

  • the transfer must be within the European Union or EEA,
  • the amount must be in euros and not exceed €50,000,
  • the international bank account number (IBAN) and bank identifier code (BIC) must be used and
  • the charging option must be "SHARE".
